Horses On Fire is een nieuwe gentse band, opgericht in 2008 door Thijs de Cloedt. Hij was jaren gitarist en songwriter bij de belgische metaltrots Aborted. Met deze band speelde hij op enkele vooraanstaande metal-fests zoals Wacken, Graspop en Hellfest. Na 6 jaar was het tijd voor een nieuwe uitdaging. De grote voorliefde voor rock leidde tot het onstaan van Horses on Fire. Na een jaar werken aan hun set, en de opnames van hun EP in de Red Tap Studios, begonnen ze met live spelen in mei 2009. Ze proberen zich te onderscheiden door strakke rocksongs te brengen met een catchy sound waar de zang centraal staat. Enkele wapenfeiten sinds hun korte bestaan: wonnen Global Battle of the Bands Belgium ’09, Halve-finale Oost-Vlaams Rockconcours ’09, wonnen Jim Maniacs en speelden op Suikerrock ’09.
